4,4'-Difluorobenzophenone is used as a reagent in the synthesis of diphenylmethoxypiperidine-derived dopamine uptake inhibitors. Also used as a reagent in the synthesis of 1-benzhydryl piperazine derivatives which display ACE inhibitor and antimicrobial activity.
