(S)-5-Methyl-5-phenylhydantoin is an intermediate used to prepare Fenamidone as a foliar fungicide used on grapes, ornamentals, potatoes, tobacco, and vegetables. It exerts its fungicidal effects by acting as a Qo inhibitor.
